About
Meet Sarah Kahan, LCSW
I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, understood, and accepted. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating the effects of childhood experiences, or feeling disconnected in your relationship, therapy can provide a space to heal, grow, and move toward the life you want.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in helping individuals and couples heal attachment wounds, manage anxiety, and strengthen emotional and physical intimacy. Many of the challenges we face as adults are rooted in patterns that developed early in life. Together, we’ll identify those patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, helping you understand why they exist and develop healthier ways of responding.
My work is grounded in attachment theory and informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral techniques, and trauma-informed care. I tailor therapy to each client, helping them build self-awareness, regulate overwhelming emotions, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and create lasting change. My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help clients develop a deeper sense of security within themselves and in their relationships.
I have a special passion for working with couples who want to deepen their emotional and physical connection. I help partners understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, repair relationship ruptures, communicate more effectively, and rebuild trust and intimacy. I also work with individuals who want to heal from childhood trauma, reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem, and create healthier relationships.
Clients often describe my style as compassionate, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe enough to be honest, explore difficult emotions, and move toward meaningful growth at your own pace.
Healing is possible. You don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your relationship, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward greater connection, resilience, and fulfillment.
