About
I started Recognize because too many people leave a psychiatric appointment feeling like a chart instead of a person. Rushed through. Reduced to a symptom list. I wanted to build something that didn't do that.
For the past five years I've worked with people dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and the ordinary hard stretches that make it tough to feel like yourself. The same thing kept proving true: real progress comes from understanding the whole person. The diagnosis is the smallest part of it.
So my approach pairs evidence-based medication management with the things that actually move the needle. How you sleep. What's stressing you. Your relationships, your physical health, the shape of your daily life, what you're trying to get to. We build a plan from there, and we build it together. It has to fit your real life or it won't work.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Rowan University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and I'm board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Recognize is the practice I always wished existed. You shouldn't have to justify why you're struggling. You shouldn't have to prove you belong in the room. You should just be able to walk in and feel seen
